On September 29th at the Wetlands Golf Club in Aberdeen, the Eugene C. Chandler Foundation will present the LTC Eugene C. Chandler Foundation Open. The Chandler Foundation was established in 2012 to honor the lifetime of exceptional service to LTC Eugene C. Chandler to his country and community.
LTC Eugene C. Chandler proudly served in the Korean War and in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his many acts of heroism. LTC Chandler was a humanitarian, visonary leader, an advocate for educational excellence for all youth, and served on the Board of Education of Harford County for five years, as well as serving as its President.
Proceeds benefit the LTC Eugene C. Chandler Memorial Scholarship, administered by Greater Excellence in Education Foundation for Harford County Public School students enrolling for full-time academic studies at Harford Community College.
